The Act of Killing is an inventive documentary that attempts to recreate the actions of Indonesian death-squad leaders in cinematic formats. This film is hauntingly powerful. In a community where murders are respected as heroes, this movie digs down to the situations roots. I chose this video because it seemed both intriguing and controversial. The plot is informative but also very enticing, so I believe it will help teach its viewers about historical and political events in Indonesia while keeping them on the edge of their seats.
